3. User Responsibilities

• 3.1. You agree to use our services and any websites we design for lawful purposes only.

• 3.2. You are responsible for ensuring that your website's content, data, and use of our platform comply with all applicable local and international laws and regulations.

• 3.3. Unauthorized use, including attempting to reverse engineer our templates, reselling our hosting environment, or tampering with our design infrastructure, is strictly prohibited.

4. Privacy and Data Use

• 4.1. Your privacy is important to us. By using SplitScreen, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

• 4.2. Data collected from your usage and website analytics may be used to improve our service offerings, performance, and user experience.

5. Intellectual Property

• 5.1. All proprietary templates, custom code, interface designs, and assets provided directly by SplitScreen remain the intellectual property of SplitScreen.

• 5.2. Upon full payment, you are granted a license to use the completed design for your website. You may not duplicate, copy, redistribute, or exploit our underlying templates or design frameworks for other projects without prior written consent.

6. Limitation of Liability

• 6.1. SplitScreen services and hosting are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

• 6.2. We are not responsible for any direct, indirect, or incidental losses, damages, or liabilities arising from server downtime, website modifications, or the use of our services.

• 6.3. While we implement foundational SEO best practices, we do not guarantee specific search engine ranking results or traffic volume.

7. Termination

• 7.1. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our hosting or design services if you violate these Terms and Conditions or fail to meet payment terms.

• 7.2. Upon termination, your license to use our managed platform and hosting services ceases immediately.

• 7.3. If you receive a free website design via an annual promotion, the full annual subscription must be paid in advance and is strictly non-refundable. If you terminate your services or leave the platform before the one-year term expires, no pro-rata refunds or credits will be issued for the remaining months.

8. Changes to Terms

• 8.1. We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

• 8.2. Your continued use of our services after updates are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law

• 9.1. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Auckland, New Zealand.
